Join Us for the 2025 Kwanzaa Film Festival!

Celebrate nine magical years of unforgettable films, visionary directors, and powerful stories that inspire. This year’s theme, “Looking Back While Moving Forward,” honors our creative past while embracing a bold and vibrant future.

From December 26, 2025, to January 1, 2026, experience seven days of premieres, panels, and exclusive events featuring filmmakers from ages 15 to 78, representing voices from the United States to Nigeria—a true gumbo pot of global Black cinema.

This year’s celebration is extra special as we honor:

🎺 Mo’ Better Blues – 35th Anniversary
Mahogany – 50th Anniversary

      Hosted at the historic Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, proudly celebrating its 100th year as a beacon of Black excellence and other venues in the surrounding area.
